Thinking of getting certified for an upcoming vacation, but
don't have the time to put into a regular diver course? Now
there's a quick and easy programme designed especially for you!
The PADI Scuba Diver program is a pre-entry level certification
that is perfect for vacationers or people who only plan to dive
a couple times a year.
As a subprogram of the PADI Open Water Diver program, the PADI
Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily
by minimizing time constraints. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification
you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional
on your next vacation or dive trip.
During the course you will use the PADI Open Water Diver Manual
and Video. Credit earned in this program can be used toward
the Open Water Diver certification. The Open Water Diver course
uses the same materials as the Scuba Diver course, so already

PADI
Assistant Instructor Course
For Professional Divers
The foundation of PADI instructor development is the PADI Instructor
Development Course (IDC). The program consists of two parts-the
Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor
(OWSI) program. Combining the AI course and OWSI program makes
up the IDC.
Successfully completing an AI course allows instructor candidates
to earn the PADI Assistant Instructor rating which authorizes
them to function as instructional assistants and independently
conduct certain PADI programs. AI course completion also qualifies
candidates to participate in an OWSI program.
Candidates who are already certified as PADI AIs are invited
to do their IDC at the reduced OWSI price.

PADI
IDC - Instructor Development Course
For Professional Divers
We believe we offer one of the finest instructor training programs
available today. Our IDC provides a professional learning experience
in which you will learn how to teach diving utilizing the most
successful program in existence. Not only will you learn how
to teach in the classroom, pool and open water environments,
you will also learn how to effectively use all PADI's teaching
aids and support materials.
The philosophy behind our IDC is that it is 'Candidate Centered'.
Dive Asia’s Instructor Training program is intense, fun, demanding
and exciting all at the same time. Candidates have fun; make
new friends and share rewarding life experiences while earning
some of the most coveted credentials in the dive industry. In
Dive Asia’sprograms you will feel like a person - a member of
a team - not a number.
The new IDC begins with independent learning and encompasses
both the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water
Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Prior to the start of the new
IDC the candidate must complete all 16 IDC Knowledge Reviews
from the IDC Candidate Workbook. This may be accomplished by
self-study or through staff led pre-course sessions.
When you complete the IDC, you will have been trained and prepared
to successfully attend the PADI Instructor Examination (IE).
This is the final step toward your Open Water Scuba Instructor
certification. You will also be equipped with an excellent understanding
of the diving industry, scuba course promotional techniques,
progressive instructional methods and state of the art diving
information.
